The Holiday season is up upon us. Just because you are vegan doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy eggnog during the holidays.
This recipe leaves out the egg and dairy.
Not only is this drank delicious, but it’s good for you as well.
One of the ingredients is pecans. They help reduce cholesterol, are rich in fiber and a good source of vitamin E and calcium.
Dates are a good source of many vitamins and minerals. They are also high in fiber and calcium.
This “nutnog” can be a drink for everybody in the family
or you can turn it into an adult beverage with a shot of rum.
So try this traditional holiday drink with a twist and of course, that vegan thing.
INGREDIENTS
2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup pitted dates
3/4 cup raw pecans
2 cups water
1 can coconut milk
4 shots of rum (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Blend all ingredients together in a high-speed blender until smooth.
Pour into glasses and add rum if you want.
