What Happens If You Mix Brussels Sprouts and Pears?

Pears and Brussels sprouts together? Are you kidding me? That was my reaction when I first saw this recipe. Seemed a so wild, wacky and bizarre, but once you take a bite it seems so right.
I got this recipe from the star and creator of the hit documentary of, “Fat Sick and Nearly Dead.” I am talking about Reboot Joe. In the film, he drove cross country and all he did was juice. He ended up losing lots of weight and really turned his life around.

The dish not only tastes good, but it is very healthy for you. Both pears and Brussels sprouts are high in fiber and vitamin C.
Whether you are vegan or not, it makes the perfect side dish. We ate this with Ginger Tofu. The nice thing is, if you want to make it even healthier, you can use sweet potatoes.

The kids in my family have a hard time with cooked Brussels sprouts, but my wife and I loved this recipe. Mixing a fruit with a veggie, what a combo. Enjoy this tasty dish and as always that vegan thing.
